Volunteer with Girls Inc.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Girls Inc. We are excited to offer you some great volunteer opportunities which will allow you to help the members at Girls Inc. be Strong, Smart, and Bold!
After-School Programming
We have volunteer opportunities in our after-school programming from 2:30 - 6:00pm Monday-Friday. Volunteers are placed in specific slots within our programs so sign up early if you would like to volunteer with a specific program. The programs vary each semester and also include homework help with opportunities to tutor and read with girls.
Commitment
We ask for a minimum weekly commitment of a 3 hour time block on the same day each week from volunteers working with the after-school program. We do this to ensure that a meaningful connection is created between you and our members. Additional training may be offered throughout the semester to better equip staff and volunteers with skills and techniques to relate to the girls and lead programs. Volunteers are expected to attend this training, if possible, and will be able to count the hours as volunteer hours.
